Jonathan Hakakian aka Jonny Joon, founder of HearColorMusic, is a multi-instrumentalist, multi-genre producer, composer, sound designer, and multi-faceted all around music enthusiast. He loves facilitating the process of other artists capturing and sharing their souls creative expression just as much as he loves doing it for himself.
Jonathan is blessed to have worked on several Grammy award winning and nominated albums, and Emmy Award Winning shows, as well as written and/or licensed original music for a vast number of notable television shows . Most recently, his Indian inspired production of the album, Here In My Heart, with artist Priya Deepika Mohan won the Best World Music category at the Global Peace Song Awards in 2017, which also went on to be nominated as a finalist in several other categories.
Graduated from Berklee College Of Music with a dual major in both Music Production and Music Synthesis, Jonathan has been studying music all of his life. He has trained and worked alongside some of the industry’s most reputable composers such as Shardad Rohani, and Stanley Clarke.Jonathan began studying piano at age four, then went on to study composition at Interlochen Arts Academy for his formative teenage years. At age 13, he composed his first classical piece Salute To Mozart, which was performed and recorded with the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra.
Jonathan takes a holistic approach to writing and production, actively directing the creative process from beginning to completion. This includes: composing and arranging the music, coaching the vocalists, contracting the session players, booking the facilities, creative direction, designing custom electronic elements, recording, engineering, and performing.
